To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, SARAH E. WIL- LIAMS, aciti'zen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, and THOMAS A. CAMP- BELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have jointly invented a new and useful Holding and Expelling Device for Collapsible Tubes, of which the following is a specification.

Our invention relates to an improvement in toilet devices, in which a slotted rod, or key, made of wire, operates in conjunction with a wire frame, or stand; and the objects of our improvement are, first, to provide a frame, or stand, that will hold a metallic collapsible tube, paste and which will also hold a brush or utensil used to apply such paste second, to provide a slotted rod, or key, with a threeprong finger hold on one of itsends, for the purpose of simultaneously winding the collapsible tube toward its opening and pressing but its contents as needed by the user thereof.- We attain these objects by the mechanism illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1. is a front elevation of the device, showing a collapsible tube and key supported thereon. Fig. 2. is a view in perspective of the holdlng frame after the removal of slotted rod, or key, therefrom. Fig. 3. is a View in perspective of the slotted rod, or key.

The entire holding frame shown in Fig. 2 is bent or formed into shape out of a single piece of wire, (a) being the base, (6) being the upright supports through which slotte rod, or key (e) revolves-while winding co1- lapsible tube, (a) being the divided ring, or

containing toilet collar, which holds collapsible tube upright, and being concave extensions of the two ends of (0), so extended to serve as a holder for the applying utensil or brush used in conjunction with toilet paste in the tube. Key (e), as shown in Fig. -3, contains a horizontal slot, or opening, (f), into which the bottom flat end of collapsible tube is inserted preparatory to winding said tube and its contents,

simultaneously pressing out and one of its ends is bent, or shaped, to form a three-prong finger-hold (g').

In manipulating our device, the user holds the bottom of base (11) against his palm and closes his fingers over same; with the thumb and index-finger of the same hand, he winds key (6) by turning at (g) and thus forces out paste on to brush, or utensil, held in his other hand. Said device can be made out of other than wire, if desired. Theuse of a three-prong finger-hold (g) is used to prevent the fingers from slipping while .manipulating the device, which would occur if the winding key were prongs, as now commonly used.

Having described our invention, we claim:

In a holding and expelling device for collapsible tubes, thecombination with a frame formed of a single piece to provide a base, bearing members and a supporting collar, with the said tube carried by the supporting collar, of a keycarried on the said bearings and revoluble thereon, with an end of the tube having connection with the key for collapsing the tube when the key is revolved on the said. bearings.
