Letters PatentNo. 106,843,1lated August 30, 1870.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same I, BENJAMIN B. LEWIS, of Bristol, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Escapements, 'of which the following is a specification.
My invention consists of a verge having' repose-pallets only, in combination with an escapement-wheel provided with hooked teeth, the ends ofwhich teeth are beveled, and act upon the ends ot' the verge, giving them the necessaryimpulse to propel the pendulum-rod and ball.
The accompanying drawing is a front view of an esca-pement ot' luy-invention.
