The invention relates to autoinatie valves sueh as are employed in eonneetion with steam heating; systems et the vaeiuun type, and the invention consists in the construe tion as hereinafter set itorth.

The construction is sueh that all ot the workin@y parts ot the valve may be removed or inserted through the upper end 0l the ease when the cap B is ren'ioved, and this avoidsI the necessity ot disei'inneetiug the valve troni the system when it is necessary to uralte adjustment or repairs.
To permit ot removingthe mechanism troni within the valve ease the stein F tor the valve has a hook F tor pivotally en gag-ing the saine with a pin F2 on the lever G, and said lever is fulcruined upon the pin I-l which extends through the case and is removable from outside thereof. Thus by withdrawing the pin H and unliooking the stem F all the parts of the mechanism may be withdrawn from the case when the cap B is removed.
ln the operation of the parts, when the water of condensation within the casing becomes sufficient to overcome the weights O and l, the valve will lower away from its seat, which will rock the levei G, but the opening movement of the valve is limited by the projection Y engaging the upper end of the by-pass YV. After the water of condensation has discharged the weights O and l will return the lever G to its normal position, yieldably drawing the valve to its seat.
That l claim as my invention is:
l. The combination with a case, of a lever therein, a valve actuated by said lever, a partition in said case having a port closed by said valve and an auxiliary7 port, a slotted stem adjustably secured in said auxiliary port. to vary the restriction of the passage, and an extension of said lever engaging the slot in said stem and operating in the movement of the level' to clear said slot from obstruction.
2. rlhe combination with a case, of a valve therein, a weighted lever pivotally connected to said valve, a partition having a port closed by said valve and an auxiliary port, a slotted stem adjustable to variably restrict said port, and a ling r projecting from said lever and engaging the slot in said stem, for the purpose described.
8. The combination with a case, of a valve therein, a partition in said case having a port closed by said valve, a weighted lever vfulcrunied within the case and operatively connected to the valve, said weighted lever acting normally to close the valve, and an auxiliary by-pass having the upper end thereof positioned to engage and limit the travel of the lever in one direction.

The combination with a case, of an upwardly seating valve therein, a partition in said case having a port closed by said valve, a lever pivo-ted intermediate its ends, a pendent stem for attaching the valve to the lever secured to the latter upon one side of the lever pivot, a weight acting on the lever upon the opposite side of said pivot to yieldably draw the valve to its seat, said lever having a portion projecting beyond the point of engagement of the stem therewith, and an auxiliary by-pass having the upper end thereof positioned to engage said extension and limit the travel of the lever in the opening movement of the valve.
5. The combination with a case, of an upwardly seating valve therein, a partition in said case having a port closed by said valve, a lever pivoted intermediate its ends, a pendent stem for attaching the valve to the level' secured to the latter upon one side of theA lever pivot, a weight acting onJ the lever upon the opposite side of said pivot to yieldably draw the valve to its seat, said lever lia-ving a portion projecting beyond the point of engagement of the stein therewith, and means upon the casing for engaging said lever projection in the opening movement of the valve, for the purpose described.
