Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed February 6, 1913.
T0 all whom t may concern Be it known that I, FRANK JinoUsnK, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Owatonna township, in the county of Steele and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Grain-Stackers, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to an improvement in graiil-stackers, and more particularly to a grain-stacker having the power for operating it mounted thereon.
My invention has tor its object the provision oit means by which the conveyortrough of the stacker can be raised or lowered and held at any desired point.
It further has for its object the provision of a stacker which can be tolded up into very compact torni when it is desired to transport the saine from place to place or when it is desired to have it occupy as little space as possible.
A further object of my invention is to provide for mounting the motive power for operating the conveyor-trough on the stacker, which is simple, inexpensive, and durable in construction and very easy and effective in operation.
The invention consists in the construction, combination and arrangement of the several parts, as more fully hereinafter described and claimed.

longitudinal beams 2 and cross-beams 3, provided with axles d, on which are mounted wheels 5. Standards G, preferably made o1 L-shaped iron, are provided and extend upwardly from the beams 2, being braced by means of a series of braces 7, and a bracket S, having a slot or socket 9, is secured to the t'ront edge of each of said standards G at the upper end.

A frame 10 is pivoted to the standards (i by means oit' bolts 11, and comprises a top piece 11a and side pieces 12. The lower ends of the side pieces 12 of the trame 10 are provided with holes 13, which register with holes let in the standards G, and 15 are bolts which are inserted in said holes 1E) and 111; and which serve to hold and lock the trame in its upright position, but which can be withdrawn to allow the trame to be turned on the pivot bolt 11 and brought into its folded position when desired.
A pulley 16 .is mounted in the lett-hand side piece. Standards 17 are pivoted to the beams 2 by means of a shaft or rod 1S and are provided with cross-rods 19, which con neet and hold them together, and an upper shaft Q0, having sprocket-wheel 21. Sprocket-wl1eels Q2 22, mounted on the shaft 1S, an idle sprocket 23, and a sprocketchain 24 operatively connect said sprocketwheels 21, 22, and 23.
25 is the conveyor-trough, which is piv otally connected to the shaft 2O and is provided with an endless conveyer, of any wellknown character, preferably comprising endless sprocket-chains 2G, having sweeps 27.
A bar 2S, slidable on the side pieces 12 of the frame 10, is provided, said bar having depending arm 29, which are secured to the conveyor-trough 25, this bar serving to support the conveyor-trough 25 at the desired point on the trame 10. The bar 2S is provided with a pulley 30, and 31 is a rope or cable which is secured to the top piece 11a of the frame 10, and after running over pulley 30 and pulley 16 is wound around the windlass 9, when it will be apparent that by operation of the windlass the conveyer-trough can be raised or lowered as desired. lhen the conveyertrough is in `its elevated position the bar Q8 will frictionally engage the side pieces 12 o1 the frame 10, but when the eonveyertrough assumes its folded position the ends of the bar 28 will engage and be seated in the slots 9 of the brackets S.
3l;L is a shaft` supported on brackets 32, having a pulley 33 and a sprocket-wheel 34, mounted thereon, and 35 is-a sprocket-chain connecting the sprockets'll and 22u.
The endless conveyer is driven or operated by means of an engine 36, preferably a gasolene engine, Which is mounted on a platform 3T on the beams 2, and said engine is provided with a pulley 37, which is operatively connected to the pulley 33 by m-eans of a bolt 3S.
The operation of my device is so obvious that l have not described same in detail. l do not desire to be limited to the precise details of construction and arrangement of the several parts as the same may be changed Without departing` from the spirit of my invention.
Having thus described my invention, What l claim isl. In a device of the character described, a frame provided With standards having slots, a trame pivoted to said standards, a bar slidable on said pivoted frame and adapted to engage the slots of the standards, a conveyer-trough provided with a conveyer and suspended from said bar, and means for adjusting the bar and co-nveyertrough, substantially as shown and described,
2. ln a device ot the character described, stationary standards, a` Jframe pivoted on said standards, a bar slidable on said frame, pivoted standards, a conveyer-trough provided ivith a conveyer and connected to said bar and pivoted to the pivoted standards, and means for adjusting the said bar and conveyer-trough, substantially as shown and described.
8. In a device of the character described, pivoted standards, a conveyer-trough having a conveyer and pivoted to said pivoted standards, standards having a frame pivoted thereon, and means connected to said conveyer-trough and slidable on said trame t'or adjusting the said conveyer-trough, substantially as shown and described.

In a. device of the character described, stationary standards having slotted brackets, a frame pivoted on said standards, a bar slidable on said pivoted trame, means t'or supporting said bar, pivoted standards, and a conveyer-trough having a conveyer and pivoted to said pivoted standards and connected to said slidable har, substantially as shown and described.
5. In a device of the character described, pivoted standards, stationary standards, a trame pivoted to said stationary standards, a conveyer-trough having a conveyer and pivoted to said pivoted standards and extending Within the said pivoted frame, and means connected to the conveyer-trough and slidable on said pivoted frame for adjusting said conveyer-trough Within the pivoted frame, substantially as shown and described.
6. In a device of the character described, a. frame provided With standards having slots, a trame pivoted to said standards, a bar slidable on said pivoted frame, means for operating said bar to engage the said slots of the standards aforesaid, pim-ted standards, and a conveyer-trough iavin-g a convey-er and pivoted to said pivoted standards and connected to said slidable bar, substantially as shown and described.
