The solution was then filtered through a 0.2 ⁇ m syringe filter and the solvent removed to afford a white solid.

 - [Pb 2+ ] 0 100 ppm, indicating that the LPR system can be optimized to enhance performance.
 - the Pb 2+ binding capacity was determined to be 2481.9 ⁇ 158.4 and 2084.6 ⁇ 255.5 mg (Pb 2+ )/g (5) respectively, indicating that the Langmuir adsorption model that predicts a plateau may not be applicable due to the homogenous nature of the binding process (Madadrang, C. J., et al., ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces 2012, 4, 1186-1193).
