IMPROVEMENT m MEDICAL COMPOUND on PILL.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all rc'hom it 'nmy concern Be itknown that I, J OSEPH P. VVADDELL, of Brookhaven, in Lawrence county, State ofMississippi, have in-' vented and compounded a. new Pill-for the curing of cliolermfdim'rhea, dysentery, and all;diseases of the bowels, or derangements of the digestive organs, when made end compounded of the medicines, of a pureand genuine article, as named, and in quantities as described in the forumlitset forth.
' The object of this invention is to furnish at healthy, simple, harmless medicine, adapted to the necessities of a large portion of the human family, in all diseases of the bowels and dernnge nents of thedigestivelore gans.l N v To enable others skilleclinthe art of combining the medicine, I will proceed t-o give the formula. and component parts of the same:
. (2) two parts of podophyllum peltat'um, (2) two parts leptandra virginica, (1) one part of capsicum, made into five-grain pills, more or less,as may be preferred. They may else be made of the extracts ot'the sa'Fn-a medicine, and in the same proportions;
