Be it known that I, Jorm N. Mans, a citi- 'zen of the United States; and a resident of 'luos Angeles, Los Angelcs county, and State easily connected or disconnected to or from an ordinary lamp socket.

Another object of my invention is to provide an automaticvconnection plug which plug consists of but a few parts thereby obviating the danger of the some getting out of order.

Another object of my invention is to provide an automatic connection plug which, as above stated consists of but a few parts thereby making the some easy and simple to manufacture.

A further object of my invention is to provide an automatic connection plug which is so constructed as to assure its durability and eilicienc'y.

With the above and other objects in view my invention consists in such details of construction and in the arrangement and combination of I arts as will be hereinafter more full descri ed and specifically pointed out in tlieappcnded claims.

In describing my invention in detail reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the sev-- eral views'and in which- Figu e 51 is a side elevation of my invention! ig. 2 is a plan view showing the sections which compose my invention open. Fig. 3 is a bottom view of my invention. Fig. 4 is a top plan view of my invention. Fig. 5 is a detail view.

In the accompanying drawings which fully illustrate the preferred form of my invention 1 and 2 designate the two sections of my improved plug which sections are pivoted upon the members 3 as shown at llur-h ot the members is provided with the cut out portions 5 into which cut out portions are adapted to be introduced the velectrical conductors (S as is clearly shown.

Pivotally connected to one of the sections I 1 is an arm 7 as shown at 8. The arm 7 is provided at its lower endwith the binding pin 9 whereby one of the electrical conductors 6 may be connected thereto. The other of the sections 2 is provided with a second arm- 10 which is pivotally secured thereto as shown at 11 and is also provided at its lower end with the binding pin 12. This arm extends above the section 2 and is bent as shown in 13 for a purpose that will be hereafter fully described. I further provide a coil spring 14. which coil spring is adapted to be fastened to the member 2 by any suitable means and. to enter the cut out portion 15 which is formed in the member 1. Particular stress is laid upon the peculiar construction of the cut out portion 15. It will be readily apparent upon reference to the drawings and particularly to Fig. 5"
