The seats 6 of the compression member are each formed with a vertically extending slot or recess 17 (see Fig. 3), adapted to receive the downwardly bent end 1S of the spring plank 19. This spring plank 19 is preferably of pressed steel, dished out at lit-s middle portion, as shown at 20, with its end portions 1S bent downwardly at substantially t right angles to engage the recesses 17. What I claim is 1. A, truck side frame provided with a window widened at its upper portion, wearing shoes seated in the widened portion of the window, and a bolsterhaving wearing shoes secured to opposite sides thereof and adapted to bear against named wearing shoes; substantially as described.
