Be' it known that l, EMinlA FRANCK, a citizen of the United States, residingI 'at Philadelphia, inthe county of Philadelphia -and St-ate of Pennsylvania, have invented cert-ain new and useful Improvements in Fashioning Knitting-lliachines, of which the following isa specication.

One object of the presentfinventionfis t o provide for increasing the diameter of a i 4knitted tube during its m'aiiufac'tiire, or more specifically to produce va seamless widened rlegas for-stockings.

Another object. of the iiiveiitionjs to pro-` vide a circular machine for producingvthe'- character' of work mentioned.

Another object of the invention is toi-cause `s:`1'id inachine to operate automatically and `to occupy a comparatively small space', a nd another object of vthe invention isto'provide ingthelegs of siicli hose.
