The operation is as follows: When tobecco is plucetl` in the receptacle or 'lining 5 of the bowl and lighted,the smoke is drawn f by the user into the chamber 3, and from there into the cooling chamber 8 through the passages and ller 12. In passing .smoke becomes. su ciently cooled to cause 'the' nicotin to separate out and-run buck to 'the inner end of the chamber Sichere it is absorbed by the filler 12. I claim:
