and direct them, in either ofthe paths above described, t to the outlet provided l'or their escape.

I am aware that stoves have been made with reservoirs which are a constituent part of the stove, and also that such reservoirs have been Y made detachable from the stove, and that the product-s of combustion have, by a series of tiues, been conducted around such reservoirs. I do not, therefore, desire to be underf stood as claiming the construction of the stove, or of the reservoir, or any combination ot' theserparts; but
' Having thus described my invention,
\Vhat ,I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, s-I i 'lhe arrangement of the llues a., b b', O C', d, e e', and f, and dampers C C, as a consequence ot' which the heated gases may be directed aroundthe oven previous to being caused to surround the'water-.reservoir, ormay be guideddirectly to and around such resv ervoir on their Way from the fire-box to the exit-pas sage f at the rear of the stove, substantially as shown and described. y
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specitication in the presence ot' two subscribing witnesses.
