By making the extensions adjustable itis possible to modify the hereinl described ac tion, which is desirable as it may require a some streets according to the nature of the surface thereof, and the different kinds of material fnn'd in difterent'parts of the city, and also for a somewhat diiferent action when snow is 'to be handled. The farther the extensions p'roject the more radial currents are produced, and consequently, the effect is increased or e 'radially' reduced according to the'extent the ext-ensions project into the perforated 4portion of the casing. I claim:
