. Be it known that I REYNOLDS C. .FRAMP- TON, a citizenof t-he United States, residing at Pittsburgh, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements 1n' Burners, of which the followingls a SPQClfi-i cation; y
Thejinventionrelates to burners of the general type shown in the patent to Buerklei No. 637 ,850 issued Nov. 28, 1899, and used -primarily on. instantaneoumwater heaters,
andhas for its principal ob'iects; the proo vision of'a burner in-which 'all danger-of back firing is eliminated; the provision of a burner inwhich better combustion is'securedthan in. the-burners of the same general type a as heretofore;constructed; the provision of a';burner capable of eflicient service under zo'rwldelywarying conditionsof pressure, andwith var-yin qualities of gas; the provision of a burner aving improved means for disosin'g of any' condensation from the coils neath which the burners are commonly 'employed;- and the provision of a burner construction wherein the flame is thrown clear of'the burner casting and overheating of the castin and gauze in contact therewithsis avoi ed.
