I and useful Improvements in Fixture-Hang" ers, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to hangers for gas and other Vfixtures and its ob'ect is to provide a simple and substantie means which are adapted to be fitted in the ceiling of a building and have a threaded socket or nipple upon which may be screwed the fixture or any similar device which may be required in the ceiling at that point, as will be more `fully described in the following s ecification, set forth in the claim and ilustrated in the drawings, wherein:

The invention comprises a short socket or stud 10 threaded onv the outside or inside so that an ,insulating joint A1l may be screwed thereon, the said jointfcarrying the stem 12 of an electric iightA or other fizturejii. git is obvious that the Afixture may be attached directly to the stud 1G and in order to provide for the safety of the electric current and to prevent cross circuit which might otherwise prove dangerous, theA connection 11 is provided. In combination, a pair of supporting bars arranged in contacting relation and with their 'upper ends .disposed angularly to the lower ends and embedded in a ceiling, a member secured to the lower ends of said bars and having external threads thereon, a flanged member having an opening to receive said first member and adapted to brace said first member to a ceiling and having wire receiving openings, a Ahoilovv member threaded on said first member and provided with Wire receiving openings, a fixture pipe threaded to said hollow member and adapted to receive wires extended through said hollow member and a shield having a contract- 1 ed lower end contacting with said fixture ipe and en upper end 'disposed ouh'vurdly of the *Banged member adapted/to contact with the ceiling and brace said fixture pipe thereto.
