From the foregoing it will `be understood that the top poi-tion or upper half of the metallicl cylinders may be secured' together outside of the conduit while the libttom portion or lower half of the metallic cylinders may be connected together within the conduit. At the points where the flanges change in direction from inside'tooutsde, that is, atf'the points '.fr, the cylinders at these points of abutment may be fused, brazed, soldered, welded, riveted 0r calked.
