In the operation of this device let it be assumed that the right hand member 14. hasbeen` connected to` a barrelof ale and the left hand member-to a barrel of porter. Now, if the bartender desires to draw porter, he positions the plug valve 20 so that one of the ports' 21 registers with the lett hand passagein the valve body leaving the other port 2,1 4blanked off by the side wall of the frusto-o'onical bore.
