IMPROVEMENT IN CARTRIDGE-CASE S.

Be it known that I, OSWALD SUHEVENELL, of Marian, in the count-y oi' Perry and State of'Alahama, have inventd-n. new and-nset'nl Improvement in Cartridge-Cases; and I do herehy declare that the following is a full clear, and exact description thercof, which will enable u'theis skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being hall to the accompanying dmwings fol-ming pnrt of this speciticution.

The design is to have the joints of the cartridgecase, thus formed, break in mmming, but still have the parts retain their placas :ind hold the Shot, 'so that they do not clog or come in contact with the snrface of the bore, and therehy fonl the bore with lead.
Those cartridges may be used in rifles without; inj ury to tho grooves thereof, and'cartridge-cnses mznle in this manner may be used in cannon (ether rifled or nol) ljor discharging grnpe or shot.
