fication, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to wagon bodies, and the principal object of the same is to provide a frame .work' which will brace the wagon body. 7
This invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein Figure 1 is a perspective View of a'wagon body constructed in accordance with this invention. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the frame. Fig. 3 is a View in transverse section through the Wagon body. Fig. l is a view in section taken through the wagon body adjacent one end. Fig. 5 is a perspective view of one end of the Wagon.v
Referring to the accompanying drawings by numerals it will be seen that this invention comprises the bolsters 1, 2, 3, and st which are connected by the angle frames 5 and 6. Each of the bolsters carries a vertical standard 7 the upper ends of the standards carried by the bolsters l and 4 being bent inwardly and the upper ends of the standards carried by the bolsters 2 and 3 being bent outwardly. It should be noted that the standards carried by the bolsters 1 and 4 are positioned in alinement and that the standards'carried by the bolsters 2 and 3 are also in alinement, but positioned inside the line of the standards carried by the bolsters 1 and t. Each of the standards is provided with a transversely extending opening, the openings 8 in the standards carried by the bolsters 2 and 3 being positioned adjacent the bottom of the standards and the openings 9 formed through the standards carried by the bolsters 1 and 4 being formed adjacent the upper ends of the standards.
The bottom 10 of the Wagon body is mounted in the frame Work and rests upon the angle frames 5 and 6. It should be noted that the intermediate portion of the Specification of Letters Patent.

Application filed May 16, 1911. Serial No. 627,400.
bot-tom 10 is provided with recesses 11 through which the intermediate standards 7 pass. The sides 12 are placed in the frame and fit between the bottom of the Wagon and the upper bent ends of the standards '2. It will thus be seen that the bent ends prevent the sides from having vertical movement and that the sides are prevented. from having any transverse movement, glue-to the fact that the standards are positioned to each side of the sides 12. through the frames 5 and 6 and through the openings 8 and have their inner ends riveted or otherwise secured in place. bolt la is passed through each of the openings 9 and through the sides 12 of the wagon body and has a nut 15 threaded upon its outer end so that the end portions of the wagon body can be securely braced against outward movement. It should. be noted thaZ when the nuts 15 are threaded upon the bolts 14: that they'draw the sides together a slight Bolts 13 pass amount and clamp the end gates 16 tightly in place. It should be noted that the standards 7 are passed through the bolsters and are secured in place by means of nuts 17 threaded upon their lower ends. means the sides clamped in place.
What I claim as my invention is 1- In a wagon body, a frame, said frame comprising a plurality of bolsters, angle frames connecting said bolsters, standards carried by said bolsters, certain of said standards passing through said angle frames, a bottom carried by said frame, said bottom being provided with recesses to receive the inner ones of said standards, sides mounted upon said bottom and positioned between said standards, bolts passing through certain of said standards, and through said sides and angle frames, and
By this 12 can-be vmore securely bolts )assin throu h the remainin standl g e z ards and. through said wagon sldes and extending across the wagon body.
In testimony whereof I. hereunto affix my signature in presence of two Witnesses.
