To all whom 'it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JOHN NEEDHML of Morrisania, in the county of Westchester, and State of New y York, have invented a new and useful Improvement l in Sofa Bed; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof', which .will enable thers skilled in the art to make and lusethe same, reference being had to the accompanying -drawings forming part'o't' this'spectication.

This invention relates to a new and useful improvement in a combined sofa and bed, convertible from one to the other with the greatest facility; and i `It consists in the construction, arrangement, .and

By constructing the sofa frame so that it may readily be taken apart as before stated, it will be seen that it may be carried through any door or into a chamber without diiiculty.

The bedbottom may to suit the taste, so that' a mattress will not be required.

disadvantages of an ordinary cumbersome bedstead in the room are avoided, while the convenience of the indispensable sofa is secured.
