The Schedule referred to in these Lettere Patent and making part ox' the same p To all whom tt may concern Be it known that I, DAVID A. SPRINKLE, of Leoti,
in the county of Iike, and in the Stateof Indiana,-
have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Press for Bending Felices or Hoops for Vehicles; and do hereby declare that the followingis afnll, clear, and exact description thereof', reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the letters of reference marked thereon,lmaking a part of this specitication.
The nature of my inventionconsists- 14`irst,'n an auxiliarylever hinged at its inner end to the main lever, and connected with it at its outer -end-4 by a chain.
-ISecond, in the manner of `changing the position of the main lever by means of areversible box, so as to.
accommodate the lever to the increased or diminished radius of the former, as the movable former isor is not used.
In order to enable others skilled in the art towhich `my invention appertainst-o make and use the same, I will norv proceed to describe its' construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawings, in which- Figure 1 lis a plan view of the machine, and

A represents a frame of anyxsuitable dimensions and shape, although I prefer to make the same in semicircular form.
On the upper side of the frame A is firmly secured the stationary circle or former B, which is provided across its face near the center with a groove, a, asseeu in fig 1.
.Around the circumference of the stationary former B, is placed a movable circle or former, C, which is near its ends provided with a notch or groove forming a` continuation of the groove I of the stationary former .at both ends.

When thus bent, a lath, or other strip of Wood is insertedin the groove a, and nailed to the ends of the hoop or felloe, and cau'then be taken off'.
When it is,` desired to bend the yfelice around the stationary circle B, the levers are taken oif the cent-erbox la, saidbox turned around, the levers put on again, and the upright f moved closerin toward the circle.
Having thus fully described my invention,
What I claim as new, and desire to secure bvLetters Patent, is
1. In combination with thc main level', the auxiliary lever E hinged and connected to the mainlever-as described, and both provided with rollers d d, subst-an tially as and for the purposes herein set forth.
2. The reversible box b pivot-ed to the stationary former B, and constructed substantially i'n the manuel' and for the purposes herein set forth.
3. The arrangement of the frame A, stationary former B, movable former O, groove a, levers D E, rollers d d, box b, upright f, and strap l1., 'all constructed as described and operating substantially as and for the purposes herein set forth.
