. Be it known that I, J osErH RABER, a citizen of'the United States, residing at Poplar Bluff, Missouri, have invented new and useful Escap'ements for Type-Writers and Recording-Machines, of which the following is a" specification.
This invention relates to escapements for typewriting and other recording machines.

In an escapement mechanism, the combination with the pawl rocker, of a stop member for said pawl rocker, a spring con necting said stop member with said rocker, and a device for holding said stop member in different adjustments.

In an escapement mechanism, the combination with a support, and a pawl rocker in said support, of a stop member limiting movement of said rocker in both directions, a spring connecting said rocker with said stop member, and means acting against said support eifectively to hold said stop member in any desired adjustment, substantially as specified.
