SUMMA, a citizen of the United States, residing atlleb' ster Groves Missouri, have invented a rer- ,6 tain new and useful Improvement in Car- Truck Side F rames, of which the following is afull, clear, and exact description, such as \vill enable others skilled in the artto which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to side frames for car trucks.
The main object of my invention is to pro- .vide a strong and serviceable truck side frame that can be manufactured at. a low 1 cost.
Another objectis to providea side frame that can be built from commerciallyq-olled members or pressed members and metal plates. Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is I A -truck side frame consisting of a built-up girderwhich is composed of top and-bottom chords whose end portions are spaced away from each other so as to fornr spaces for Journal boxes, and vertically (115 posed web plates connected to said chords.
