Abstract
A method of growing intensive plantations of sweet cherry on weak rootstocks consists in that the yearlings on weak rootstocks grown with the aid of late-summer budding are planted according to a scheme 4 х 2-. The main crown-shaping operations are carried out in the summer period. In order to recover growing processes, in the fruiting period 1/2 part of the crown is pruned in spring on the 7year after planting and 1/2 on the 8one. The proposed method provides the increased density of the plantations, accelerating the coming of trees into the fruiting period for 2-3 years, weakening of growth thereof, raising the frost resistance and productivity of the plantations and reducing the recoupment terms for establishing thereof.
