Abstract

A flat mop assembly includes a mop body, a mop head, and a scraper. The mop body includes a mop plate and two engaging portions. The mop plate has an operating side and a cleaning side, and a receiving groove is provided on the operating side. The engaging portions protrude from the mop plate toward the receiving groove, facing each other. The mop head is detachably fixed to the cleaning side for cleaning an object to be cleaned. The scraper has a plurality of serrations at its edge, and is detachably pressed into the receiving groove by elastic deformation of at least one of the engaging portions and the scraper, and is locked in place by the engaging portions after being pressed into the receiving groove. After cleaning with the mop head, the scraper uses the serrations to scrape away dirt adhering to the object to be cleaned.

Description

Flat mop assembly

This creation relates to a mop assembly, and more particularly to a flat mop assembly.

Maintaining a clean environment is a fundamental requirement for preventing the spread of disease, and floor cleaning is particularly important. When floors accumulate dirt (such as hair or dust) over a long period, it not only affects the aesthetics of the environment but can also become a breeding ground for bacteria and allergens, threatening people's health and quality of life. Therefore, users usually use cleaning tools such as brooms or mops to perform daily floor cleaning.

A typical flat mop assembly includes a mop board, a handle, and a mop head. The mop head is attached to the mop board, either fixedly or detachably, to remove dirt from floor surfaces. However, when the mop head becomes heavily soiled after use, it is difficult to completely remove the dirt even after washing or rubbing. This dirt not only reduces the mop head's cleaning effectiveness, preventing it from effectively absorbing new dirt, but may even cause secondary pollution, bringing the original dirt back to the cleaned area.

In addition, when cleaning the mop, users often need to directly touch the dirt on the surface of the mop with their hands, which is not only unhygienic but also increases the inconvenience of using it.

In the prior art, even after washing or rubbing, it is difficult to completely remove dirt from the mop. Furthermore, users often need to directly touch the dirt on the mop surface with their hands when cleaning, which is not only unhygienic but also increases the inconvenience of use. Therefore, the main objective of this invention is to provide a flat mop assembly that features a receiving groove on the mop board and a detachably fixed scraper with serrated edges. After cleaning with the mop, the scraper effectively removes dirt adhering to the object being cleaned using its serrated edges, thereby solving the problems described in the prior art.

Based on the above, the necessary technical means adopted by this invention to solve the problems of the prior art is to provide a flat mop assembly, comprising a mop body, a mop cloth, and a scraper. The mop body includes a mop plate, two engaging portions, and a handle. The mop plate has an operating side and a cleaning side, and a receiving groove is provided on the operating side. The engaging portions protrude from the mop plate toward the receiving groove, facing each other. The handle is hinged to the mop plate on the operating side.

The mop is detachably attached to the cleaning side for cleaning an object. The scraper has a plurality of teeth at its edge, and is detachably pressed into a receiving groove by elastic deformation of at least one of the two engaging parts, and is then locked in place by the two engaging parts. After cleaning with the mop, the scraper uses its teeth to scrape away dirt and grime adhering to the object being cleaned.

Based on the aforementioned necessary technical means, the following auxiliary technical means can be derived: Preferably, the mop board has a plurality of spaced-apart support ribs within the receiving groove; preferably, the mop board has a plurality of grooves on the cleaning side, and the flat mop assembly further includes a plurality of adhesive members. The adhesive members are fixed to the grooves for attaching the mop cloth, thereby allowing the mop cloth to be detachably fixed to the cleaning side. More preferably, the adhesive members are Velcro; a sliding channel is provided between the operating side and the cleaning side of the mop board, and the flat mop assembly further includes a squeegee. The squeegee is detachably disposed in the sliding channel; a swivel notch is provided near the receiving groove on the mop board. The movable notch is connected to the receiving groove, which is used to move the scraper through the movable notch, thereby removing the scraper from the receiving groove.

Based on the aforementioned necessary technical means, the following auxiliary technical means can be derived. Preferably, the scraper includes a main body and two wings. The wings extend from the main body by bending, have scraping teeth at their edges, and are engaged and fixed by the engaging parts.

In summary, the flat mop assembly provided by this invention solves the problems described in the prior art by providing a receiving groove on the mop board and detachably fixing a scraper with serrations. After cleaning with a mop, the scraper can effectively scrape off dirt adhering to the object to be cleaned using its serrations.

The specific embodiments used in this work will be further explained through the following embodiments and diagrams.

Since the flat mop components provided in this invention can be widely used with different types of flat mops, there are countless ways to combine and vary them. Here, only one of the better embodiments is given for specific explanation.

As shown in Figures 1 to 4, a flat mop assembly 100 includes a mop body 1, a mop cloth 2, a scraper 3, a plurality of adhesive parts 4 (only one is indicated), and a squeegee 5.

The mop body 1 includes a mop plate 11, two engaging parts 12, and a handle 13. The mop plate 11 has an operating side S1 and a cleaning side S2. A receiving groove G1 is formed on the operating side S1, and a plurality of recesses G2 (only one is indicated) are formed on the cleaning side S2. In order to maintain lightness while strengthening the overall structural strength, a plurality of spaced-apart support ribs 111 (only one is indicated) are formed in the receiving groove G1 of the mop plate 11. In addition, a semi-open sliding channel C is formed between the operating side S1 and the cleaning side S2 of the mop plate 11, and a prying notch N communicating with the receiving groove G1 is formed near the receiving groove G1.

The engaging portions 12 protrude from the mop plate 11 toward the receiving groove G1, facing each other. In this embodiment, the engaging portions 12 are integrally formed and connected to the mop plate 11, but this is not a limitation.

The handle 13 is hinged to the mop plate 11 on the operating side S1. In this embodiment, the handle 13 can be temporarily positioned during rotation, so that its extension direction is horizontal to the extension direction of the mop plate 11 (as shown in the first figure) or perpendicular to the extension direction of the mop plate 11 (as shown in the second figure), to cope with different operating situations (for example, when the extension direction of the handle 13 is horizontal to the extension direction of the mop plate 11, it can be used to perform a cleaning job in a narrow space, or to reduce the space occupied for storage). Since there are many feasible solutions for the specific hinge structure, which are not advocated by this invention, they will not be described in detail in this embodiment.

The mop 2 is detachably fixed to the cleaning side S2 for cleaning an object to be cleaned (typically a flat surface such as a floor, table, or window). The mop 2 is secured to the groove G2 by an adhesive piece 4, allowing it to be detachably fixed to the cleaning side S2. In this embodiment, the adhesive piece 4 is Velcro, but is not limited to it.

The scraper 3 is detachably pressed into the receiving groove G1 by elastic deformation of at least one of the engaging part 12, and is locked in place by the engaging part 12 after being pressed into the receiving groove G1. In this embodiment, both the mop body 1 and the scraper 3 are made of plastic and are elastic, but this is not a limitation. In this embodiment, since a support rib 111 is formed in the receiving groove G1, after the scraper 3 is pressed into the receiving groove G1, the scraper 3 contacts and is fixed by contact with the support rib 111 and the engaging part 12 respectively.

Structurally, the scraper 3 includes a main body 31 and two wings 32 (only one is indicated). The wings 32 extend from the main body 31 in a bent shape, giving the scraper 3 a slightly curved arc shape to increase its elasticity. In addition, the wings 32 have a plurality of scraping teeth 321 at their edges and are engaged and fixed by the engaging part 12.

After cleaning with the mop 2, the squeegee 3 is used with scraper teeth 321 to scrape off dirt (usually hair, dust, etc.) adhering to the object to be cleaned. In order to achieve more functions than just mopping, the squeegee 5 is detachably installed in the sliding channel C so that it can be used to scrape off residual liquids (such as water) on the object to be cleaned.

As shown in Figure 5, after cleaning, the user only needs to pry open the notch N and pry the scraper 3 in a prying direction D1 to remove the scraper 3 from the receiving groove G1. As shown in Figures 6 and 7, after removing the scraper 3, the scraping teeth 321 on the scraper 3 can be used to scrape off the dirt adhering to the object to be cleaned. As shown in Figure 8, after scraping is completed, the scraper 3 (wing 32) is first placed against one of the engaging parts 12, and then the scraper 3 is pressed into the receiving groove G1 in a pressing direction D2, so that the scraper 3 is engaged by the engaging part 12 and stored.

In summary, the flat mop assembly 100 provided by this invention, by providing a receiving groove G1 on the mop plate 11 and detachably fixing a scraper 3 with scraping teeth 321, allows the scraper 3 to effectively scrape away dirt adhering to the object to be cleaned after cleaning with the mop 2, thereby solving the problems described in the prior art.

Claims (7)

A flat mop assembly includes: a mop body comprising: a mop plate having an operating side and a cleaning side, and a receiving groove formed on the operating side; two engaging portions protruding from the mop plate toward the receiving groove opposite to each other; a handle hinged to the mop plate on the operating side; a mop cloth detachably fixed to the cleaning side for cleaning an object to be cleaned; and a scraper having a plurality of scraping teeth at its edge, which is detachably pressed into the receiving groove by elastic deformation of at least one of the two engaging portions, and is engaged and fixed by the two engaging portions after being pressed into the receiving groove; After cleaning with the mop, the scraper is used to scrape off dirt and grime adhering to the object to be cleaned using its serrated edges. The flat mop assembly as described in claim 1, wherein the mop plate has a plurality of spaced-apart support ribs formed in the receiving groove. The flat mop assembly as described in claim 1, wherein the mop plate has a plurality of grooves on the cleaning side, and the flat mop assembly further includes a plurality of adhesive members fixed to the grooves for attaching the mop head, thereby allowing the mop head to be detachably fixed to the cleaning side. As described in claim 3, the flat mop assembly, wherein the adhesive parts are Velcro. The flat mop assembly as described in claim 1, wherein the scraper comprises: a main body; and two wings extending from the main body, having scraping teeth at their edges, and being engaged and fixed by the two engaging portions. The flat mop assembly as described in claim 1, wherein the mop plate has a sliding channel between the operating side and the cleaning side, and the flat mop assembly further includes a squeegee strip that is detachably disposed in the sliding channel. As described in claim 1, the flat mop assembly has a prying notch near the receiving groove, the prying notch being connected to the receiving groove for prying the scraper through the prying notch to remove the scraper from the receiving groove.
