Abstract

The present invention relates to a method, an apparatus, a system and a computer program for online purchasing, and more particularly, discloses an online purchasing method including an inaudible signal receiving step of receiving, by a terminal, an inaudible signal including information on a first product, which is transmitted while providing a first image content by an image content providing apparatus; an action performing recognizing step of recognizing, by the terminal, performing of a predetermined first action of a user; a first product information calculating step of calculating, by the terminal, the information on the first product using the inaudible signal; and a purchasing procedure providing step of providing, by the terminal, a purchasing procedure for the first product.

Description

Online shopping method, device, system and computer program using inaudible signals

The present invention relates to an online shopping method, device, system and computer program. More specifically, an online shopping method, device, system and computer program that utilize inaudible signals in the process of providing video content, wherein inaudible signals are used to send information that can specify the goods included in the video content that the user is watching, and the user can conveniently purchase the goods by receiving the inaudible signals at the user's terminal.

Recently, the number of users who purchase goods or services through home shopping or online shopping has continued to increase.

However, in the past, when users used home shopping to purchase goods, they had to call the sales company to specify the items they wanted to order, and then tell the payment information such as credit card number one by one, which was very inconvenient.

In addition, recently, a service has been attempted that allows users to purchase products that appear in video content such as movies while the video content is provided through IPTV (Internet Protocol Tele-Vision), but in this case, users have to use an inconvenient remote control to select and pay for the product.

In addition, due to the inconvenience in the purchasing process as described above, there is a problem that not only the user's UX (User eXperience) is deteriorated, but also the service provider's (service provider) revenue is reduced.

Thus, there is a need for a solution that improves the user's UX (user experience) so that users can more conveniently perform the purchasing process while watching video content such as home shopping, and that can also improve the profitability of service providers through a convenient purchasing environment, but an appropriate solution has not yet been proposed.

The present invention is proposed to solve the above-mentioned existing technical problems, and its purpose is to enable users to purchase goods more conveniently while watching video content such as home shopping.

In addition, the purpose of the present invention is to improve the UX (user experience) such as interaction with users during online shopping and allow users to easily complete the purchasing process.

In addition, the purpose of the present invention is to improve the revenue of service providers through a more convenient purchasing environment.

In addition, people with general knowledge or researchers in this technical field will be able to clearly grasp and understand the detailed purpose of the present invention through the details described below.

To solve the above-mentioned problem, an online shopping method according to one aspect of the present invention includes: an inaudible signal receiving step, in which a terminal receives an inaudible signal, the inaudible signal including information about a first product sent when an image content providing device provides a first image content; an action execution identification step, in which the terminal identifies a user's predetermined first action execution; a first product information calculation step, in which the terminal calculates information about the first product using the inaudible signal; and a purchase procedure providing step, in which the terminal provides a purchase procedure for the first product.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the online shopping method includes: an application program transmission step in which the server transmits an application program (App) to the terminal; an inaudible signal receiving step in which the terminal receives an inaudible signal through the application program, the inaudible signal including information about the first product sent when the image content providing device provides the first image content; an action execution identification step in which the terminal identifies the user's predetermined first action execution through the application program; a first product information calculation step in which the terminal calculates the information about the first product through the application program using the inaudible signal; and a purchase procedure providing step in which the terminal provides a purchase procedure for the first product through the application program.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the computer program is a computer program stored in a computer-readable recording medium for executing each step of the above-mentioned online shopping method.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the terminal includes: an inaudible signal receiving unit, receiving an inaudible signal including information about a first product sent when the image content providing device provides a first image content; an action execution identification unit, used to identify the user's predetermined first action execution; a first product information calculation unit, using the inaudible signal to calculate information about the first product; and a purchase procedure providing unit, providing a purchase procedure for the first product.

In addition, the online purchasing system according to another aspect of the present invention includes: an image content providing device, which sends an inaudible signal including information about a first product during the process of providing a first image content; and a terminal, which receives the inaudible signal sent from the image content providing device, identifies the user's predetermined first action execution, calculates the information about the first product using the inaudible signal, and provides a purchasing procedure for the first product.

Thus, in the online shopping method, device, system and computer program using inaudible signals according to one embodiment of the present invention, users can more conveniently purchase goods while watching video content such as home shopping.

In addition, in the online shopping method, device, system and computer program using inaudible signals according to one embodiment of the present invention, the UX (user experience) such as the interaction with the user during the user's online shopping process is improved, and the user can easily perform the purchasing process.

When describing the embodiments of the present invention, when it is judged that a specific description of the known technology related to the present invention will make the gist of the present invention unclear, the detailed description thereof will be omitted. In addition, the terms described below are defined in consideration of the functions in the present invention, and can be changed according to the intention or habit of the user or operator. Thus, the terms should be defined based on the content in the entire specification. The terms used in the detailed description are only used to describe the embodiments of the present invention and are not restrictive. Below, an exemplary embodiment of an online shopping method, device, system and computer program using an inaudible signal according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described step by step with reference to the accompanying drawings.

First, the first figure shows the structure of an online shopping system 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention.

Please refer to the first figure, an online shopping system 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention may include an image content providing device 200 and a terminal 100.

At this time, the image content providing device 200 sends an inaudible signal including information about the first product in the process of providing the first image content, whereby the terminal 100 receives the inaudible signal sent from the image content providing device 200 and identifies the first action execution predetermined by the user. The terminal 100 calculates the information about the first product using the inaudible signal and then provides a purchase procedure for the first product.

Here, the image content providing device 200 may be a television or display that can provide users with image content such as home shopping images, movies, and TV series, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

More specifically, the image content providing device 200 may include a television, etc., which can receive a wired or wireless broadcast signal to provide image content, or receive and provide image content via a wired or wireless communication network. Moreover, the image content providing device 200 may also include an additional device such as a set-top box 210 that receives the wired or wireless or wireless broadcast signal or receives the image content via the wired or wireless communication network and provides it to a display device such as a display.

In addition, as shown in FIG. 1 , as the terminal 100, a portable terminal such as a smartphone, a tablet PC, a PDA, a mobile phone, etc. can be used, but the present invention is not necessarily limited thereto, and various types of terminals such as a personal computer (PC), a laptop, etc. can also be used depending on the application used.

Thus, in an online shopping system 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the user's UX (user experience) is improved, so that the user can more conveniently perform the purchasing process while watching video content such as home shopping, and the service provider's revenue can be improved through a convenient purchasing environment.

Referring to FIG. 2 , an online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an inaudible signal receiving step S110, the terminal 100 receives an inaudible signal, the inaudible signal includes information about a first product sent when the image content providing device 200 provides a first image content; an action execution identification step S120, the terminal 100 identifies the user's predetermined first action execution; a first product information calculation step S130, the terminal 100 calculates information about the first product using the inaudible signal; and a purchase procedure providing step S140, the terminal 100 provides a purchase procedure for the first product.

Below, referring to Figures 1 and 2, the online shopping method according to one embodiment of the present invention is described in more detail step by step.

First, in the inaudible signal receiving step S110, the terminal 100 receives an inaudible signal, which includes information about the first product sent when the first image content is provided in the image content providing device 200.

More specifically, in the inaudible signal receiving step S110, the image content providing device 200 provides the user with first image content such as a home shopping channel or a movie, TV series, etc.

In this case, the image content providing device 200, when providing the first image content, sends an inaudible signal including information about the first product in addition to the audio signal, and the first product is a product that appears in home shopping products, movies, TV series, etc.

In addition, in the present invention, the goods purchased by the user have a general meaning, and refer not only to objects with physical shapes, but also to various goods and services including services such as providing content.

In addition, please refer to FIG. 3 , the inaudible signal may be an inaudible sound wave in the frequency band between 18,500 Hz and 24,000 Hz that is inaudible to ordinary users, but the present invention is not limited thereto. In addition, the frequency band of the inaudible signal may be adjusted according to the operating environment and application.

In addition, in the present invention, a wireless signal such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) can also be used as the inaudible signal.

The following description will be based on inaudible sound waves of 18,500 Hz to 24,000 Hz as the inaudible signal, but it can be changed into a wireless signal such as BLE and applied.

In addition, the information about the first product may include identification information for identifying the first product or a URL (Uniform Resource Locator) for providing a purchasing procedure for the first product, etc., but the present invention is not limited thereto.

Thus, the inaudible signal sent from the image content providing device 200 together with the image of the first product may include information for identifying the first product, thereby, the terminal 100 can receive the inaudible signal and calculate the information that can be used to identify the first product, etc.

More specifically, in an online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention, the first image content can be carried on a wired or wireless broadcast signal and transmitted to the image content providing device 200. In this case, the image signal of the broadcast signal includes an image of the first product, and the audio signal of the broadcast signal can include an inaudible sound wave, and the inaudible sound wave includes information about the first product, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

In addition, please refer to FIG. 4 , in an online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention, the first server 300 receives information about the inaudible signal from an external server (e.g., a home shopping company) independently of the first image content, and can provide the inaudible sound wave after adding the audio signal of the first image content or can send the signal independently of the audio signal.

In this case, referring to FIG. 4 , the image content device 200 can receive inaudible signal information of the first image content from the first server 300 via a communication network 50.

Here, the communication network 50 may include a wired network or a wireless network, and more specifically, may include various communication networks such as a local area network (LAN), a metropolitan area network (MAN), and a wide area network (WAN). In addition, the communication network 50 may also include the well-known World Wide Web (WWW). However, the communication network 50 according to the present invention is not limited to the networks listed above, and may include at least a part of a well-known wireless data network or a well-known telephone network or a well-known wireless television network.

In addition, the image content providing device 200 can also receive synchronization information from the first server 300 for synchronizing the inaudible signal with the first image content.

As a more specific example, please refer to FIG. 5 , when the home shopping broadcast for the first product is broadcast in the first section P1 from t0 to t1 of the home shopping channel, the first server 300 transmits synchronization information (t0, t1) for the first section P1 in which the inaudible signal is transmitted to the video content providing device 200 together with the information about the first product, and transmits the inaudible signal including the information about the first product being broadcast on the home shopping broadcast.

In addition, in an online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention, a first section of a first product is provided in the first image content, and the inaudible signal includes information about the first product, and a second section of a second product is provided in the first image content, and the inaudible signal includes information about the second product.

As a more specific embodiment, please refer to FIG. 5. In the video content such as a TV series provided by the video content providing device 200, when the first interval P1 from t0 to t1 includes the first product and the second interval P2 from t2 to t3 includes the second product, the first server 300 can transmit the synchronization information of the first interval P1 together with the information of the first product, and can transmit the synchronization information of the second interval P2 together with the information of the second product.

Thus, in the video content providing device 200, the first section P1 providing the first product in the first video content sends an inaudible signal including information about the first product, and the second section P2 providing the second product in the first video content sends an inaudible signal including information about the second product.

Furthermore, in an online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention, in response to the multiple commodities included in the first image content, the inaudible signal may include information about the multiple commodities, thereby, the terminal 100 may select one or more of the multiple commodities to execute a purchasing procedure.

More specifically, referring to FIG. 5 , when the first interval P1 of the first video content includes the second product together with the first product, the first server 300 transmits the information about the second product together with the information about the first product to the first video content providing device 200, thereby transmitting the information about the first product and the information about the second product together in the inaudible signal in the first video content providing device 200.

Thus, the terminal 100 can receive the inaudible signal, calculate the information about the first commodity and the second commodity, and provide it to the user, and can perform the purchasing procedure for the commodity selected by the user.

Next, in the action execution identification step S120, the terminal 100 identifies the user's predetermined first action execution.

At this time, please refer to Figure 6, the action execution identification step S120 includes: a step S121 of sensing the user's action using a sensor set on the terminal 100; and a step S122 of determining whether the user's action corresponds to the predetermined first action.

More specifically, when a smartphone is used as the terminal 100, the terminal 100 may be equipped with various sensors, such as a gyro sensor that can sense the user's movements, so that the terminal 100 can use the sensor to sense the user's movements and determine whether the user's movements correspond to the predetermined first movement.

That is, as an embodiment of the present invention, when a user wants to purchase a product while watching a home shopping channel, the user only needs to perform a predetermined first action such as shaking the terminal 100 such as a smart phone to connect to a web page providing product information of the home shopping channel and a purchase web page, and can more conveniently perform the purchase procedure for the product. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the first action can be defined as various actions according to the applied application.

As a more specific embodiment, when the first action is defined as shaking the terminal 100 up and down or left and right, the terminal 100 uses a gyroscope sensor or the like to collect sensor data according to the user's action. When the collected data is consistent with the predefined comparison data or similar to a predetermined level, it can be determined that the user's action corresponds to the predetermined first action.

Next, in the first product information calculation step S130, the terminal 100 uses the inaudible signal to calculate the information of the first product.

More specifically, as an embodiment of the present invention, among the signals received by the microphone or the like provided in the terminal 100, the signal corresponding to the audible frequency domain is used as the audio signal of the first image content, and the signal corresponding to the inaudible frequency domain can be demodulated according to a predetermined specification to calculate the information about the first product.

Thus, the terminal 100 uses the inaudible signal to calculate the information about the first product, and can more conveniently provide product information and purchase procedures for the first product.

Next, in the purchasing procedure providing step S140, the terminal 100 provides a purchasing procedure for the first product.

As a more specific example, in the terminal 100, for a first product such as a home shopping product included in the first video content such as a home shopping channel provided by the first video content providing device 200, the product information and the URL address where the product can be purchased are calculated and provided using the inaudible signal sent from the first video content providing device 200, and then the web page corresponding to the URL address is automatically connected to provide the user with the product information and the purchase procedure for the first product.

In addition, in the terminal 100, the identification information included in one or more of the multiple inaudible signals sent by the multiple image content providing devices 200 can be considered, the first inaudible signal corresponding to the terminal 100 in the multiple inaudible signals can be calculated, and the purchasing procedure for the first product can be executed using the first inaudible signal.

More specifically, the inaudible signal also includes identification information that can identify the image content providing device, and the terminal 100 can consider the identification information to carry out the purchase procedure for the first product.

In addition, the inaudible signal includes identification information that can identify information used in the application APP driven by the terminal 100, and the terminal 100 can consider the identification information to execute the purchase procedure for the first product.

More specifically, referring to FIG. 7 , when the terminal 100 receives not only the first inaudible signal transmitted from the first image content providing device 200 but also the second inaudible signal transmitted from the second image content providing device 200b, the terminal 100 considers the identification information of the first image content providing device 200 included in the first inaudible signal and the identification information of the second image content providing device 200b included in the second inaudible signal, and uses the first inaudible signal corresponding to the first image content providing device 200 of the terminal 100 to execute the purchasing procedure for the first commodity, thereby preventing the occurrence of errors caused by the second inaudible signal of the second image content providing device 200b.

In addition, the inaudible signal includes identification information that can identify information used in a specific application driven by the terminal 100, and the first inaudible sound wave including the identification information in the multiple inaudible signals can be used in the application to execute a purchase procedure for the first commodity.

In addition, when the terminal 100 receives the multiple inaudible signals, it provides a list of multiple commodities corresponding to the multiple inaudible signals, or provides messages for multiple commodities in sequence, thereby selecting one or more commodities from the multiple commodities for the procurement process.

In addition, in an online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention, when the terminal 100 cannot receive the inaudible signal, the first product can be calculated by identifying a predetermined audio signal of the first image content, and a purchasing procedure for the first product can be provided.

As a more specific example, when the first video content providing device 200 cannot send the inaudible signal, or when the terminal 100 temporarily has difficulty recognizing the inaudible signal, the terminal 100 can recognize the predetermined audio signal of the first video content to recognize the first video content and the first product, and provide a purchase procedure for the first product.

At this time, in the case of a product that is replayed or pre-scheduled to be played, the sound source of the first image content can be pre-stored, and other servers can be built for the service. In this way, the terminal 100 receives the local audio signal of the first image content through a dedicated application and transmits it to the server, and the server can compare the received audio signal with the sound source to identify the first product.

In addition, in the online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention, when the second server (not shown in the figure) provides the terminal 100 with information about the merchandise included in the second video content currently being played, and the user selects the information provided by the terminal 100, the terminal 100 may send an inaudible signal including information about the second video content to the video content providing device 200, so that the video content providing device 200 provides the second video content.

Moreover, in the online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention, when the second server (not shown) provides the terminal 100 with information about the merchandise included in the second video content currently being played, and the user selects the information provided at the terminal 100, the terminal 100 can search for the video content providing device 200 using the same access point (AP) as the terminal 100, and send the information about the second video content, so that the video content providing device 200 provides the second video content.

In this case, as an embodiment of the present invention, the second server (not shown in the figure) compares the user's past purchase history with the products included in the video content of one or more channels currently being played, and when there are related products, the information of the products included in the second video content that is playing the related products can be provided to the terminal 100.

As a more specific embodiment, the second server (not shown in the figure) uses the user's past product purchase information or search history, etc., and when there is a product whose similarity with the product of the second video content in the currently broadcast home shopping channel is above the benchmark value, or when there is a purchase history in the home shopping channel in a specific time period, etc., it can provide advertising messages to the terminal 100 through reminders, etc.

Thus, please refer to FIG. 8 , when the user touches the advertisement message sent to the terminal 100 and selects it, the terminal 100 can send an inaudible signal including identification information of the second image content to the microphone of the TV set-top box or the built-in microphone of the remote control through a built-in speaker (not shown), and the set-top box 210 changes to the corresponding channel to provide the second image content.

Alternatively, when the user touches the advertisement message sent to the terminal 100 to make a selection, the terminal 100 searches for the image content providing device 200 using the same access point (AP) as the terminal 100 to send information about the second image content, thereby changing to the home shopping channel and providing the second image content in the image content providing device 200. In this case, it is also possible to determine whether the user is at a predetermined location such as his or her home, change the home shopping channel, or connect to the product details page or purchase website of the mobile phone for more detailed curation.

Furthermore, in an online shopping method according to an embodiment of the present invention, when a user selects a gift function in a purchase procedure, if there is a purchase history record of the object to which a gift is to be given, the purchase history record of the object is automatically used, and the address of the recipient is automatically entered, so that the user can more easily purchase goods and give gifts without the need to enter an address separately.

In addition, the second server can save the user's friend list, and when the user is viewing a specific product that a friend likes or is interested in, the user can induce the friend to send a gift by notifying the friend that the product is a product that the friend likes.

In addition, Figures 9 and 10 are flowcharts of the specific operation of the online shopping system 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention.

First, in FIG. 9 , a server 300 transmits the name of a chain store selling a product, a URL (including a tracking code) including detailed information of the product, and broadcast time information of the first image content corresponding to the product to an image content providing device 200 (S210).

Thereby, the image content providing device 200 converts the information received from the server 300 into an inaudible signal of an inaudible frequency band, and transmits it to the terminal 100 when viewing the first image content (S220).

Next, the user of the terminal 100 performs a predetermined first action (e.g., shaking up and down) (S230) while running the application for online shopping of the present invention on the terminal 100 such as a smartphone, and the terminal 100 calculates the information of the product included in the inaudible signal and opens the homepage corresponding to the URL of the product (S240).

Thus, the server 300 performs the payment procedure for the product (S250), confirms the tracking code (S260), and transmits the result data on whether the product is successfully purchased to the terminal 100 (S270).

Alternatively, please refer to Figure 10, the terminal 100 receives the reminder message as information of the currently playing product, etc., and presents it to the user (S310).

In this regard, when the user clicks on the reminder message to make a selection (S320), the terminal 100 transmits the identification information of the video content of the product being played using an inaudible signal or searches for the video content providing device 200 using the same access point as the user to transmit the identification information of the video content (S330), and changes to the video content channel in the video content providing device 200 (S360).

At this time, the terminal 100 provides detailed product information of the product (S340), and the video content providing device 200 such as TV can also simultaneously receive the video content corresponding to the product that the user is watching on his terminal 100. Through the interaction as described above, the user can experience a novel and convenient UX (user experience) (S350).

Then, the user can use the terminal 100 to perform the payment procedure for the product (S370), thereby confirming the tracking code at the terminal 100 (S380), and transmitting the result data of whether the product has been successfully purchased to the server 300 (S290).

As a more specific example, as shown in FIG11 , the terminal 100 runs a pre-installed application program (1000 in FIG11 (a)). When the user executes the predetermined first action, the identification information about the video content of the product currently being played is received by an inaudible signal, and the URL information including the detailed product information about the product is calculated, and a reminder message is provided to the user to confirm whether to move to the product information website of the URL (1010 in FIG11 (a)).

Thus, when the user clicks on the reminder message to make a selection, the terminal 100 uses the URL information to provide product information for the product and access the purchase website (1020 in FIG. 11(b)), so that the user can more easily purchase the currently playing product.

In addition, the online shopping method according to the present invention can also be described from the perspective of the server.

More specifically, according to another aspect of the present invention, a method for online shopping from a server perspective includes: an application program transmission step, a server transmits an application program (App) to a terminal 100; an inaudible signal receiving step, receiving an inaudible signal, the inaudible signal including information of a first commodity sent when the terminal 100 provides a first image content of an image content providing device 200 through the application program; an action execution identification step, the terminal 100 identifies a predetermined first action execution of a user through the application program; a first commodity information calculation step, the terminal 100 calculates information about the first commodity by using the inaudible signal through the application program; and a purchase procedure providing step, the terminal 100 provides a purchase procedure for the first commodity through the application program. In this case, the online shopping method from the perspective of the server can be easily implemented by the online shopping method from the perspective of the terminal 100 described above, and thus, a detailed description thereof will be omitted here.
