Description

Stylus and electronic device

The present invention relates to a stylus and an electronic device, and more particularly to a stylus and an electronic device having a plurality of types of pens.

With the rapid development of technology, manufacturers of electronic devices such as notebook computers, mobile phones, and portable multimedia players have used touch panels to replace traditional keyboards as a new generation of input interfaces. In more detail, the current touch panels can be roughly classified into a capacitive touch panel and a resistive touch panel. Taking the iPhone as an example, the iPhone uses a capacitive touch panel as an input interface, so the user can perform input operations such as inputting text or selecting a menu with only a finger.

However, in order to match the user's finger, the various icons displayed on the screen must be of a considerable size to prevent the user from making a mistake in operation. Secondly, during the use of the capacitive touch panel, the user's fingers often obscure parts of the screen. In addition, the traditional stylus has a smaller tip to facilitate the selection of smaller icons. However, such a conventional stylus can only operate the resistive touch panel, but cannot operate the above capacitive touch panel. Therefore, once the user has both the electronic device of the resistive touch screen and the electronic device of the capacitive touch screen, the user needs to prepare a corresponding stylus to meet the needs.

The present invention provides a stylus having a plurality of stylus pens.

An embodiment of the invention provides a stylus pen comprising a pen, a first pen tip and a second pen tip. The first head is connected to one end of the barrel, and the first head has an opening. The second writing head is telescopically received in the pen holder and the first writing head. The second writing head switches between a state hidden in the first writing head and a state of extending through the opening to the first writing head. At least one of the first and second writing heads is electrically conductive.

An embodiment of the invention provides a stylus comprising a pen, at least a first pen, and at least a second pen. The pen holder has a plurality of openings. The first and second pens are respectively placed in the pen holder. The first and second pen heads are each switched via a corresponding opening, and between a state hidden in the pen holder and a state of being extended outside the pen holder. At least one of the first and second writing heads is electrically conductive.

An embodiment of the invention provides an electronic device including a body and a stylus. The body has a connection port. The stylus includes a pen, a first pen tip, a second pen tip, and a connector. The first head is connected to one end of the barrel, and the first head has an opening. The second writing head is telescopically received in the pen holder and the first writing head. The second writing head switches between a state hidden in the first writing head and a state of extending out of the first writing head via the opening. At least one of the first and second writing heads is electrically conductive. The connector is attached to the pen holder. The connector is adapted to be inserted into the port to connect the stylus to the body.

In an embodiment of the invention, the first pen tip and the second pen tip are electrically conductive.

In an embodiment of the invention, the first tip is electrically conductive and the second tip is not electrically conductive. The outer diameter of the first head is larger than the second tip.

Based on the above, in the above embodiment of the present invention, the stylus has two different types of pens, so that the stylus can simultaneously operate the capacitive touch screen and the resistive touch screen without worrying about operating the capacitor by hand. The touch screen can cause accidental touch, and there is no need to prepare a capacitive stylus in addition to the resistive stylus. Furthermore, the second writing head is telescopically received within the first writing head and the pen holder, and is movable between the state of concealing the first writing head and the state of extending outside the first writing head via the opening of the first writing head. Switch. This allows the stylus to switch the appropriate pen tip as the touch screen is used to enhance the user's convenience in operating the touch screen.

The above described features and advantages of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description.

FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 are schematic diagrams of a stylus in different states according to an embodiment of the invention, respectively. Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 simultaneously, in the embodiment, the stylus 100 includes a first pen tip 110, a second pen tip 120, and a pen bar 130. The first head 110 is coupled to one end of the barrel 130, and the first head 110 has an opening 112. The second writing head 120 is telescopically received in the pen holder 130 and the first writing head 110. In this embodiment, the second The pen tip 120 is switched between a state hidden in the first pen tip 110 (as shown in FIG. 2) and a state in which the pen tip 112 protrudes outside the first pen tip 110 (as shown in FIG. 1).

Based on the above, the stylus 100 of the present embodiment can be applied to both the capacitive touch screen and the resistive touch screen, so that the user can control the capacitive touch screen with the stylus instead of the finger, and there is no need to separately It is troublesome to prepare the stylus required for the resistive touch screen. In other words, with the stylus 100 of the present embodiment, the current capacitive touch screen and the resistive touch screen can be operated.

As will be described in detail below, when the user operates a capacitive touch screen (not shown), the stylus 100 is switched to the state shown in FIG. 2, wherein the first writing head 110 is made of conductive Made of materials such as conductive rubber. In the present embodiment, the outer diameter of the first tip 110 is preferably 8 millimeters (mm). This allows the first pen tip 110 to be easily replaced with a finger to touch the pattern on the touch screen, and can effectively avoid accidental touch.

Moreover, when the user uses a resistive touch screen, in order to make the stylus 100 equally applicable to the resistive touch screen, the second pen head 120 is disposed in the first pen tip 110 and the pen holder 130, and It is allowed to expand and contract from the opening 112 of the first tip 110. In the present embodiment, the outer diameter of the second writing head 120 is smaller than the outer diameter of the first writing head 110, and the outer diameter of the second writing head 120 is preferably 1.5 millimeters (mm). Accordingly, the user switches the stylus pen 100 to the state shown in FIG. 1, that is, after the second pen head 120 protrudes from the opening 112, the second pen head 120 can operate the second pen head 120. Resistive touch screen.

In addition, in order to enable the first pen tip 110 and the second pen tip 120 to be smoothly switched between the states of FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the stylus pen 100 further includes an elastic member 140 disposed in the pen holder 130 and connected thereto. The second pen head 120 is spaced between the pen tip 130. In this embodiment, the elastic member 140 is, for example, a telescopic spring. The two ends of the elastic member 140 are respectively abutted against the second pen head 120 and the pen holder 130 and cooperate with a latching member (not shown) to make the stylus 100 is telescopically switched between the state of FIG. 1 and the state of FIG. 2. However, the embodiment does not limit the form of the connection structure between the second pen head 120 and the pen holder 130. Any of the second pen heads 120 can be telescoped through the opening 112 at the first pen tip 110 to allow the stylus pen 100 to be in two types. Any switch between the telescopic states can be applied to this embodiment.

In this embodiment, the second writing head 120 is made of a plastic material, and the hardness thereof is greater than the rubber material of the first writing head 110 to facilitate the touch operation of the resistive touch screen. However, this embodiment does not limit this. When the capacitive touch screen is advanced in technology due to its control integrated circuit (IC), the touch screen does not require a large contact area. When the touch reaction can be performed, the material of the second writing head 120 can be changed to a conductive material.

3 is a partial schematic view of a stylus in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 3 , in the embodiment, the stylus 200 includes a first pen tip 210 , a second pen tip 220 , and a pen bar 230 . The pen bar 230 has two openings 232 , 234 , and the first pen tip 210 and the second pen 210 . The pen tip 220 is telescoped relative to the pen holder 230 via the openings 232, 234, respectively. In this embodiment, the first writing head 210 is made of, for example, a conductive material, and is applicable. The stylus head of the capacitive touch screen, and the second pen head 220 is made of, for example, a plastic material, and is suitable for the stylus head of the resistive touch screen. Similar to the above embodiment, the first writing head 210 and the second writing head 220 can be respectively telescoped with respect to the pen holder 230 by a telescopic mechanism (not shown), so that the user can extend the required writing head 210 or 220. The pen holder 230 is used outside. Herein, the embodiment does not limit the structure and the number of the first pen head 210 and the second pen head 220 disposed in the pen holder 230.

4 is a schematic diagram of an electronic device in accordance with an embodiment of the invention. In the embodiment, the electronic device 10 is, for example, a PDA, but the embodiment does not limit this. The electronic device 10 includes a body 300 and a stylus 400. The components of the stylus 400 are the same as those of the stylus 100 and 200 in the above embodiment, and will not be described again. Different from the above embodiment, the body 300 has a connection port 310, which is, for example, a universal serial bus (USB) or other input/output port commonly used on portable electronic devices. The stylus 400 further includes a connecting member 150 in addition to the related components described in the stylus 100 of the above embodiment. The connector 150 has a plug 152 and a cable 154 that are connected to each other, wherein the cable 154 is connected to the sheath 130, and the plug 152 corresponds to the port 310 on the body 300. Thereby, the stylus pen 400 can be inserted into the connection port 310 via the plug 152 to be connected to the body 300. In this manner, the stylus 400 is connected to the body 300 of the electronic device 10 by the connection 埠 310 on the body 300. Therefore, the body 300 does not need to additionally provide a accommodating groove to accommodate the stylus 400. Here, the embodiment does not limit the form of the connector 150, and the designer can connect the 埠 310 according to the body 300. The plug 152 or cable 154 of the connector 150 is changed to other forms depending on the form and usage requirements. In addition, the stylus 400 can also be electrically connected to the body 300 via the connector 150 to transmit signals to the body 300 of the electronic device 10 .

In summary, in the above embodiment of the present invention, the stylus includes a pen tip that can be used for both the capacitive touch screen and the resistive touch screen, and the two types of pens can be switched according to the use situation. Furthermore, the resistive stylus tip is telescopically received within the capacitive stylus tip. This allows the user to avoid the use of a finger to operate the capacitive touch screen, and allows the user to prepare the corresponding stylus, that is, the integrated touch described in the above embodiment of the present invention. The pen can easily operate the resistive touch screen and the capacitive touch screen at the same time.

In addition, the stylus can be connected to the body of the electronic device by a plug corresponding to the connection port, so that the electronic device can be designed without the stylus receiving structure on the body. The connection port already existing on the body is used as a connection mechanism. At the same time, the stylus can be integrated with other peripheral devices to transmit signals with the body of the electronic device through the connecting member, thereby enhancing the function of the stylus.

Although the present invention has been disclosed in the above embodiments, it is not intended to limit the invention, and any one of ordinary skill in the art can make some modifications and refinements without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. The scope of the invention is defined by the scope of the appended claims.
