Abstract

This invention relates to a gear with ring-involute teeth comprises a plurality of convex and concave gears. Using the developed mathematical models and the tooth contact analysis to build its appearance. The kinematic errors are investigated according to the obtained geometric modeling of the designed gear meshing when assembly errors are present. A structural load is assumed to act on one tooth of a traditional spur gear and one tooth of the proposed gear. By comparing the proposed gear and conventional spur gear it is found that the stress of the proposed gear is smaller than that of a traditional spur gear.
