A large loop extends from the transceiver, which is a wire or similar material, so that the transceiver can be hung on the user's neck in the form of a necklace through the loop. Two wires also extend from the transceiver and extend generally upward and connect to the loop at about half the distance from the transceiver. These wires carry sound signals to earbuds or headphones (not shown in the figure) connected to the far end thereof, thereby allowing the user to hear the sound. In the example of a telephone headset, a loudspeaker (not shown in the figure) may be provided on the loop or one of the two audio wires and electrically connected to the transceiver. The transceiver may include various switches, sliders, etc. (not shown in the figure) to control functions such as on/off, volume, etc.
