Abstract
In smaller, light, and small exhaust release motorcycles, if their exhaust pipe has catalyst incorporated in the diffuser pipe, the cleansing action of the catalyst will rise the temperature and cause damage to the tailpipe due to heat generation. The present invention relates to an exhaust pipe 30 for motorcycles, characterized by using a plurality of partitioning spacers 34, 35 to divide the outer tube into a plurality of compartments 36, 37, 38. The exhaust gases from the exhaust pipe are directed to respective compartment and then discharged outside the vehicle. Catalyst is introduced at the place 44d at the end of diffuser pipe 44 connected to the exhaust pipe and tail pipe 49 connected to the exhaust port is extended backward from partition 38 separated from partition 36 that has catalyst installed along the outside of exhaust pipe 30.
