Abstract

此申請案主張對2013年7月10日提出之美國臨時申請案第61/844,501號的優先權,其主題係全部以引用的方式併入本文中。
本發明有關機械突耳,且更特別有關具有互鎖構造的機械突耳。
機械突耳連接器被使用來鎖固電導體。圖1、2及3A-C說明先前技藝機械突耳連接器。圖1中所說明之機械突耳10包含具有重疊凸緣14、16的主要本體12及安裝舌片18。該機械突耳10不包含任何互鎖構造。如此,當鎖緊該螺絲20時,該等凸緣14、16傾向於開放及彼此分開,而該螺絲鎖固被定位在其中的電導體。
圖2及3A-C中所說明之機械突耳30係在圖1中所說明的機械突耳10之上的一改良。該機械突耳30包含具有 安裝舌片42之主要本體32。該主要本體32具有一設有T形切口36的內部凸緣34及一設有T形凸緣38之重疊外部凸緣37。如在圖3B中所說明,該外部凸緣37的T形凸緣38被定位在該內部凸緣34之T形切口36內。該內部凸緣34的側壁40由於該T形切口36而被減弱。其結果是,當該螺絲44被鎖緊以鎖固電導體時,該T形凸緣38向上拉,藉此打開該突耳及使該等凸緣彼此分開。

因此,對於具有互鎖構造的改良機械突耳連接器有一需要,而當螺絲被鎖緊以鎖固被定位在其中的電導體時,該互鎖構造不會分開。
本發明係針對被使用於鎖固電導體的機械突耳。該機械突耳具有主要本體,該主要本體設有由該主要本體延伸之安裝舌片。該主要本體具有內部凸緣及重疊的外部凸緣。該內部凸緣包含水平構件及互鎖構件,該互鎖構件具有成一角度的凹部。該外部凸緣包含鉤部,該鉤部具有錐形面。該外部凸緣之鉤部被定位於該內部凸緣之互鎖構件的成一角度之凹部中,以鎖固該機械突耳。

圖4-6說明本發明之機械突耳50。該機械突耳50係一體式元件,其包含主要本體52及安裝舌片54。該安裝舌片54由該主要本體52延伸,且包含一用於承納緊固件的孔56,該緊固件將該機械突耳50鎖固至匯流排條或另一裝置。
該主要本體52係由金屬片形成為大致上盒子形狀,其被設計成可容納各種尺寸的電導體。該主要本體52包含底部58、內部凸緣62及外部重疊凸緣66。該底部58 係大致上V形,具有用於承納該電導體的鋸齒狀缺口60。當該導體被安裝時,該等鋸齒狀缺口60增加該電線滯留力,藉此改善該機械突耳50之強度。

設有螺紋之孔72在該主要本體52之頂部延伸經過該外部重疊凸緣66及該內部凸緣62兩者。該設有螺紋之孔72容納一固定螺絲或有頭螺絲74,用於將電導體鎖固於該主要本體52中。
當該螺絲74被鎖緊至定位在其中之電導體時,藉由該內部凸緣62及該外部重疊凸緣66所形成之鳩尾式互鎖防止該主要本體52分開。當比較於先前技藝突耳時,本發明的機械突耳之互鎖凸緣增加該機械突耳的完整性及強度。另外,本發明之機械突耳係具成本效益及易於製造。

Claims (8)

  1. 一種用於鎖固電導體的機械突耳,該機械突耳包括:主要本體,具有內部凸緣及重疊之外部凸緣,其中該內部凸緣具有水平構件及互鎖構件,該互鎖構件具有成一角度的凹部,且該外部凸緣具有鉤部,該鉤部具有被定位於該內部凸緣之互鎖構件的成一角度之凹部中的錐形面;及安裝舌片,由該主要本體延伸。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項之機械突耳,其中該外部凸緣的鉤部係L形。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項之機械突耳,其中該外部凸緣的鉤部界定一開口,該開口承納該內部凸緣之互鎖構件。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1項之機械突耳,其中該等成一角度的凹部被該內部凸緣中之開放側壁所界定。
