Abstract
To provide a glass paste for overcoat that is substantially free of lead and with excellent airtight property and chemical resistance, especially acid resistance, and can be calcined under low temperature, especially below 700° C. And the glass paste can be easily laser trimmed without loss of resistance stability while it is used as precoating glass of thick film resistance element. The glass paste for overcoat comprises glass powder having low melting point and organic vehicle. The glass having low melting point is substantially free of lead and contains 20~50 mol% of SiO2﹑0.5~10 mol% of Al2O3﹑5~35 mol% of at least one selected from BaO and SrO﹑3~35 mol% of ZnO﹑1~10mol% of TiO2﹑1~13 mol% of at least one selected from Li2O and Na2O and K2O﹑0~20 mol% of B2O3﹑and 0~5 mol% of at least one selected from WO3 and MoO3.
