Abstract
The objective is to provide a backlight unit having a connection structure in which a series of operations can be carried out excellently that lamp lead wires of fluorescent lamps are led to insertion locking parts of the lamp lead wires formed in a circuit pattern of a circuit board via guide grooves inserted from insertion sites and communicated, and that connection and fixing are carried out at that insertion locking parts by soldering. To solve the problem, on a circuit board 11 to which a fluorescent discharge lamp lighting circuit has been attached, insertion sites 14, 18 for inserting lamp lead wires 9 extended from the fluorescent lamps 7 into the circuit board 11 are formed by being communicated with insertion locking parts 16 of the lamp lead wires 9 via the guide grooves 17.
