Abstract

To provide an electronic component with a lead using very small ceramic electronic component elements to prevent degradation in yield. An electronic component 100 with a lead comprises: a ceramic electronic component element 10 of which a terminal electrode 11 is formed at both ends in the lengthwise direction; and a pair of leads 20. Each lead 20 comprises a concave cap 21 which is formed by machining one end of the lead 20 and has a specified outer diameter and inner diameter. The ends of the ceramic electronic component element 10 in the lengthwise direction are engaged with the caps 21, with each terminal electrode 11 electrically connected to the lead 20.
