Abstract

A thin electrical connector with simple clasp is provided, which mainly includes an insulating body for connecting a plurality of contacts, and a plurality of clasps. The clasps are disposed in a plurality of receiving grooves at two sides of the insulating body. Each receiving groove has a first positioning point and an opening. Each clasp has a clasping end, a clicking portion, and an elastic locking portion. The elastic locking portion is bent in U-shape from the corresponding clicking portion and has a second positioning point. When the second positioning point of the bent end is located in the first positioning point of the receiving groove, the elastic locking portion can provides homing of the clicking portion and the clasping end, and such that the clicking portion is exposed out of the opening of the corresponding receiving groove. In addition, the clasping end extends from the corresponding receiving groove. Accordingly, the clasps can be easily clasped into the corresponding receiving groove of the insulating body though a motion of guide slipping.
