Abstract

The present invention provides a method and system for automatically adjusting the flash intensity of camera. The invented system includes: a lens device, an image detection device, a focusing system, a focusing detection device, a control device, and a flash device. The invented method comprises: using a focusing detection device to detect the motor rotation stepping number of a focusing system during a focusing process; transmitting the motor rotation stepping number to a control device; and using the control device to compare the motor rotation stepping number with pre-determined motor rotation stepping numbers and photographed object distance conversion table stored in the control device in order to obtain the distance between a photographed object and the camera for calculating a flash index of the flash light, so as to control the flash light to emit an optimum lighting thereby enabling a picture to obtain an accurate exposure. Thus, the present invention is able to achieve the objectives of accurate control and adjustment of flash intensity and accurate exposure for the flash light with low cost and low power consumption.
