Abstract

The objective of the present invention is to provide a shift register whose operating speed can be increased, and to provide a liquid crystal driver employing the shift register. The shift register includes a plurality of stages connected in cascade, each stage shifts input data by using a plurality of clocks with different phases, outputs a clock inputted to a drain of an output transistor when receiving the input data from the source of the output transistor as a phase shift clock so as to shift an output signal, phase shift clocks at the (n-2) and (n-1)th stages are inputted to an n-th stage, and a gate voltage of the output transistor is sequentially increased by the phase shift clocks of the (n-2) and (n-1)th stages.
