Özellikle ürünün kullanan kisinin mantar hastaligi bulunmasi halinde veya menstürasyon dönemlerinde, genital bölge cildi hijyenik olmayan sartlarin neden oldugu dis etmenlere karsi daha duyarli hale gelir. Özellikle üst tabakanin hijyeni olmak üzere hijyenik pedlerin hijyen seviyesini arttirmaya yönelik bir ihtiyaç söz konusudur.
