Description
It has been found that the sulfonic acids of hydrocarbons propylated in the core of wood or their salts, in particular, those obtained from naphthalene or other multi-nuclear hydrocarbons by affecting, when heated, an isopropyl acid on aromatic sulfonic acids in the presence of sulfuric acid, have the properties of soap and can serve as a substitute soap. They have the ability to dissolve oils and fats, and can be used for washing and cleaning, as well as for boiling wool whitening silk, foaming in dyeing, boiling, etc. These products, in particular, propylated sulfoxidites and their salts, have the ability to form stable emulsions with water-immiscible liquids, like oils.
Нерастворимые или труднорастворимые в воде вещества, которые при нагревании в воде плав тс , переход т с немощью этих продуктов в состо ние тонкого взвешивани .benzene, kerosene, fatty oils, resinous oils, methylnaphthalene, chloroform, carbon disulfide, etc .; when diluted with water, they give thin, non-precipitating emulsions, which are particularly suitable, instead of oil, when drilling metals. Insoluble or sparingly soluble substances in water, which melt when heated in water, transfer from the weakness of these products to a state of fine weighing.
Между тем, последние так же, как и их соли, обладают сно выраженными мыльными свойствами и ноэтому могут быть нримен емы дл очистки без примеси упом нутых веществ .Sulfonic acids of petroleum hydrocarbons are known to have cleansing properties, but their value as the EYE of the cleansing agent is relatively insignificant. Previously, to the cleansing agents, consisting of sticky substances and alkaline substances like borax, phosphoric acid sodium, sulfonic acids of aromatic hydrocarbons were added, but not propylated compounds. Meanwhile, the latter, as well as their salts, have clearly expressed soap properties and can therefore be used for cleaning without admixture of the substances mentioned.
Example. 884 parts of naphthalene are converted using 450 parts of 66 ° V sulfuric acid to p-naphthalene sulfonic acid. After cooling to 120 °, 380 parts of isopropyl alcohol and 265 parts of sulfuric acid, 66 ° Be, are added with stirring. After stirring for many hours at this temperature, the mixture is allowed to cool, the upper layer is removed / translated into lime salt, which is then converted into sodium salt. The aqueous solution of sodium salt isopropylated with p-naphthalene-sulfonic acid thus obtained is adjusted to 3,250 parts, displaced with 9,000 parts of an alkaline brown coal oil (sp. Weight approx. 0.91) and stirred in an apparatus equipped with a horizontal stirrer until the mass will not accept the consistency of cow butter. By pouring it into the tenfold amount of water, a milky emulsion is obtained, which, after adding a small amount of soda alkali, is very suitable as an oil used during drilling.
In a similar way, they come when using sulfonic acids of other propylated aromatic compounds, or their salts, as well as using other water-insoluble liquids, instead of coal oil.
Subject of para.
п.A method of preparing preparations for washing or the like, instead of soap, characterized in that sulfonic acids of aromatic hydrocarbons propylated in the core, such as naphthalene or other multi-nuclear hydrocarbons, or their salts are mixed with water with or without the addition of mineral or fatty oils. . : or etc.
