Abstract
This invention relates to medicine. The aim of the invention is to determine the allowable depth of the working part of the instrument in the tissue of the eye due to the fixation of cavitation sonoluminescence with the gradual immersion of the working part of the tool in a liquid medium. The working part — the tool shaft — is placed in a cuvette and its ultrasonic vibrations emit. Drip filling of the cuvette with a liquid medium is carried out and the light intensity is recorded with the aid of photoelectric multiplication. When the liquid medium reaches the level corresponding to the permissible immersion depth, cavitation accompanied by sonoluminescence is recorded by the photomultiplier in the excitation medium.
Description
The invention relates to medicine and can be used in determining the characteristics of an ultrasonic (US) oftal surgical instrument.
Цель изобретени - определение допустимой глубины погружени рабочей части инструмента в ткани глаза за счет фиксировани уровн жидкой среды, при погружении до которого в результате излучени инструментом УЗ колебаний возникает сонолюми- несценци .The purpose of the invention is to determine the allowable immersion depth of the working part of the instrument in the eye tissue by fixing the level of the liquid medium, when immersed to which a sonoluminescence occurs as a result of the radiation emitted by the ultrasonic tool.
The method for determining the characteristics of an ultrasonic surgical instrument is as follows.
The working part of the tool is immersed in a liquid medium. During the immersion, the instrument radiates ultrasonic oscillations
The intensity of sonoluminescence is measured and, in parallel, the level of the liquid medium is fixed relative to the working part of the instrument. The permissible immersion depth of the working part of the instrument in the eye tissue for the radiated power of ultrasonic vibrations is determined by the level of the liquid medium at the time of sonoluminescence.
The method of determining the characteristics of an ultrasonic surgical instrument is implemented as follows.
The working part is the tool shaft, for example, UZH-201 is placed in a vessel, for example a glass cylindrical cuvette, so that its end face is at a certain distance h from the bottom of the k-tv.

Radiate with an ultrasonic instrument using a generator. A light receiver is installed under the cuvette, for example, an FEU-86 photomultiplier tube operating in the light quanta counting mode. During radiation, a drip filling of the cuvette with a liquid medium, such as distilled water, is carried out at a constant velocity V. During radiation, the middle part of the rod undergoes transverse oscillations, and in some areas the intensity of transverse oscillations can reach a value sufficient to excite cavitation in biological tissues or liquid environment.
4.1/./When the level of the liquid medium reaches such a separate area, cavitation occurs in it, accompanied by the emission of light quanta, i.e., sonoluminescence. The light is recorded by a photomultiplier tube and the time t is measured from the beginning of the filling of the vessel with a liquid medium to the moment the light is recorded. The allowable depth / immersion of the working tool rod for the radiated power is determined from the expression 4.1 /./
где V - объемна скорость, where V is the volumetric velocity,
/ - врем до начала кавитации, с;/ - time before the start of cavitation, s;
d диаметр сосуда, мм;d vessel diameter, mm;
Определение предельной глубины погружени и знание глубины передней камеры и толщины хрусталика позвол ет хирургу выбрать такой инструмент дл проведени операции, у которого зона кавитации стержн находилась бы вне роговицы, что позволит ослабить повреждающее действие инструмента и снизить послеоперационные осложнени , поскольку кавитационные разрушени в клетках оболочек на границе заднего эпители роговицы вл ютс одной из причин послеоперационной эпителиально-эндотелизлы-н,й дистрофии роговицы./ 1 is the distance from the end of the working part of the tool to the bottom of the vessel, mm. The calculated distance is applied to the working tool rod in the form of risks. Risk means for the surgeon the limit to which the tool shaft can be immersed in the eye tissue. Determining the limiting depth of the anterior chamber and knowing the depth of the anterior chamber and the lens thickness allows the surgeon to choose an instrument for which the cavitation zone of the rod would be outside the cornea, which will reduce the damaging effect of the instrument and reduce postoperative complications, since cavitation damage in the cells of the membrane The border of the posterior corneal epithelium is one of the causes of postoperative epithelial-endothelial and corneal dystrophy.
