Description

способы питани  фотоумножител  требуют применени  высокого питающего напр жени , что приводит к усложнению схемы стабилизации, низкой надежности и сокращению срока службы фотоумножител .The known methods of feeding the photomultiplier require the use of a high supply voltage, which leads to a complication of the stabilization scheme, low reliability and shortened service life of the photomultiplier.

Это позвол ет значительно снизить питающее напр жение и увеличить срок службы фотоумножител .The proposed method differs in that, besides the constant supply voltage, a pulse voltage generated by the same power source is applied to the cathode of the photomultiplier, and a conductive grid is connected to the photocathode, which is connected to the output of the cathode. This makes it possible to significantly reduce the supply voltage and increase the service life of the photomultiplier.

На чертеже изображена принципиальна  схема фотоумнол ител , ч котором импульсное питание осуществлено по предлагаемому способу .The drawing shows a schematic diagram of a photoumnine ITEL, which pulsed power carried out by the proposed method.

11.A constant static voltage is applied between the anode / and cathode 2 of the photomultiplier, which is part of the total supply voltage. In this case, the voltage between the electrodes 5, 4, 5 and is determined by the values of the resistances 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.

Результирующее напр жение при этом на каждом промежутке между двум  соседними электродами определ етс  суммой посто нного статического напр жени  и импульсного напр жени .Prior to the arrival of the signal under study, a pulse of negative polarity is applied to the cathode of the photomultiplier through capacitor 12, the amplitude of which is equal to the difference between the required operating and static voltages. The impulse voltage between the electrodes 5, 4, 5 and 6 is distributed depending on the size of the capacitances 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17. The resulting voltage in each gap between two adjacent electrodes is determined by the sum of the constant static voltage pulse voltage.

18.The magnitudes of the resistances 7, 8, 9, 10 and // and the capacitances 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 are determined depending on the pulse duration and the magnitude of the anode load 18.

Дл  увеличени  срока службы фотоумножител  к выводу катода 2 присоедин ют провод щую сетку 19, котора  представл ет собой два р да медных проволочек, плотно прижатых к стенке баллона 20 фотоумножител .To increase the service life of the photomultiplier, a conductive grid 19, which consists of two rows of copper wires tightly pressed against the wall of the photomultiplier cylinder 20, is attached to the cathode 2 lead.

The proposed method of pulsed power photomultiplier will be widely used in the development of new designs of photomultipliers in the electronic industry.

Subject invention

A photomultiplier pulsed feeding method, characterized in that, in order to reduce the supply voltage and increase the service life, the cathode of the photomultiplier serves, in addition to a constant supply voltage, a pulse voltage generated by the same voltage source, and a photocathode There is a conductive grid connected to the cathode pin.
