The invention relates to seismology, in particular to the study of the kinematic parameters of earthquakes, and can be used in the short-term prediction of time and energy. canopy in a radius of up to 250 km from the center of the seismic station bush.

The aim of the invention is to improve the accuracy of prediction of strong earthings by means of using the energy of weak earthquakes

The drawing shows the study region 1 and points 2-5 of the location of seismic stations.

The method is carried out as follows

90±15° ,The system of seismic stations is located in the study area so as to ensure the registration of the azimuth effect associated with the regular distribution of the fluctuations of the P-wave and S-wave speeds of a different sign and the accumulation of one-digit deviations of parameters over the area, which depends on the direction between the main trunk break recording stations and active voltage fields. This is realized by a uniform arrangement of at least four seismic stations around the region under study. At the same time, the angles between the two directions from the two adjacent stations to the potentially dangerous zone will not exceed 90 ± 15 °,

Weak earthquakes are used as a signal source, limited by energy class K 795-1095. Such a limitation is caused by the previous requirements for the accuracy of determining the parameters of their foci (lower value) and the need to be based on background seismicity data. In doing so, it performs continuous tracking not for the P and S waves, but for its dispersion, since it is the dispersion of the travel time from weak earthquakes that is an indicator of the unstable state of the medium. Medium within a radius of 250 km from the station reacts to ready-made strong land9 that can be located even beyond this radius at a distance of a scientific research institute up to 500 km from a given station or group of stations.

The times t and t are measured. the arrival of P- and S-waves and determine the ratio of; tg / tp at each station for each earthquake in the energy range 7,, 5. The maximum variance of the parameter tg / tp for each day is determined by a relatively long-term average value. At the moment when this value of the background values is at least 3 times, the time of the prepared earthquake is determined. The duration of the anomaly s; 1 depends on the energy of the prepared earthquake. In particular, events in the energy range, 0-5.5, correspond to the duration of the anomaly of the order of 35-50 days9, and for earthquakes, 5-60-110 days.

To reduce the accumulation time of the material needed to prepare the forecast, the current dispersion of the P- and 8-wave travel times is determined by a group of stations for the same time period.
