SUBSTANCE: synthesis is carried out from m-chlorodiphenylmethylformamide which is treated with urea taken as an aqueous solution in the presence of HCl at 135-140 C in isopropanol medium at the molar ratio m-chlorodiphenylmethylformamide-HCl-urea 1:(1.5-3.5):(5-6). Under these conditions the yield is increased from 70% (by known method) to 89.7% Synthesized compound is used in medicine as antiarrhythmic and anticonvulsant agent.
