Description

(54) POWDER FEEDER

one

The invention relates to an apparatus for applying gas-thermal coatings made from powder materials, in particular to pneumatic powder feeders, used primarily in combination with a gas flame spray gun equipped with an injector for transporting powder.

A powder feeder is known that contains a reservoir, a tubular intake with a conical socket at the inlet, at the outlet of which an injector is installed, a mixing chamber with a diffuser and a nozzle 1.

However, the known device does not provide the quality of transportation and has a high inertia.

The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of transportation of the powder and reduce the inertia of the device.

The goal is achieved by the fact that in a powder feeder, mainly in installations for applying thermal coatings containing a reservoir, a tubular intake with a conical socket at the inlet, the outlet of which is equipped with an injector, a mixing chamber with a diffuser and a nozzle, the injector is installed from the mixing chamber at a distance of 0.7-1.2 diameters of the mixing chamber, the diameter of which is 0.2-0.3 of the inner diameter of the cylindrical part of the intake.

The drawing shows a powder feeder, a general view.

The powder feeder consists of a reservoir 10 of the veil 1, a tubular intake 2 with a conical socket 3 and a nozzle 4, an injector 5 is installed at the outlet of the tubular intake 2, a mixing chamber 6 with a diffuser 7.

The powder feeder works as follows.

Due to the injection in the intake 2, a vacuum is created. Powder enters the conical socket 3 of the inlet 2, which is transported from the end of the cylindrical part of the intake 20 to the mixing chamber 6 and, by the way, the diffuser 7 with the nozzle 4 enters the flexible pipeline. Through pipe S, the powder is transported to the powder channel of the spray burner, in which
