Abstract

This is made up of a section of woven tubular mesh (1) and at least one section of a resistant and flexible laminar band (4,5) applied, as a minimum to one side of the mesh part, joined to the latter by two welding lines (6,7) near the vertical edges of the laminar band section and by two transversal welding lines (8,9) that respectively define the top and bottom of the bag. A third transversal welding line (10) on the upper part defines a rectangular transversal area (11) in which there is an attaching handle (12) that can be replaced by holes (13) for inserting the fingers of one hand. Description

The present invention relates to a fruit and vegetable carrying bag.

As indicated in the title, the invention provides a pouch designed to facilitate grouping, display at points of sale, and carrying a discrete amount of fruits, vegetables and the like under conditions of perfect product integrity and user comfort.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Many types of carrier bags are known, such as vegetables and the like, generally made of reticulated materials, usually made of woven or non-woven webs of artificial or cotton material, to which laminar parts of paper or artificial material bearing inscriptions are attached and logo.

Most of the known bags have drawbacks due to the imperfect arrangement of the end portions of the knitted fabric and the attachment of the attached laminar portions, resulting in the risk of tearing the structure of the bag during product transportation and inconvenience for the user in handling the bag containing it.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The fruit and vegetable carrying bag of the present invention eliminates these disadvantages and provides functional and handling advantages.

The structure of the new bag is extremely durable because the contents are completely surrounded by a tubular netting, which in turn has double lateral belts, and once filled, comfortably adheres to the wearing of the products and is particularly comfortable for its user.

The holding of the bag with its contents may be made possible by means of a double handle or alternatively by means of openings in the upper part of the structure into which the fingers of the hand can be inserted.

For the sake of completeness, several figures are attached to the application, illustrating an exemplary embodiment of a bag for carrying fruit and vegetables, in an illustrative and non-limiting manner, in accordance with the claims.

Figure 1 shows a front view of an empty new bag from the profile and Figure 2 is a front view of an empty blank as well.

Figure 3 is a profile of a new bag stretched after filling with the fruits and vegetables to be carried.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The elements indicated by reference numerals in the drawings correspond to the parts mentioned below.

The new bag consists of a part 1 of tubular mesh, which in its original state corresponds to an empty bag and defines a flattened structure with its surfaces 2 and 3 in contact. The two parts 4 and 5 of a durable, flexible and laminar web, preferably made of artificial materials, attached to both sides of the netting part 1, correspond to these surfaces of the tubular netting part. These portions are connected to the mesh portion by two vertical welding lines 6 and 7 near the side edges of the (vertical) strip portions 4 and 5 and two other transverse welding lines 8 and 9 that define the top and bottom of the bag.

Before applying side welding lines 6 and 7, the machine forming the new bag performs an "English fold" on each side whose edges are bent inwards.

The third welding line 10 at the top of the structure is parallel to the line 8 with which it defines a region 11 in which it holds the ends of the handle 12.

In another variation, the handle 12 may be omitted and round or oval openings 13 may be provided in the region 11 intended to accommodate from two to four fingers of one hand to carry the bag and its contents.

Figure 3 shows the shape of the bag occupied by the parts contained in the carrying, which is due to the English fold (lateral) and the natural elasticity of the netting 1, thereby creating a pouch with a certain capacity corresponding to the weight and quantity of fruits and vegetables.

A preferred embodiment of the novel bag has a laminar web portion 4 on only one side.

Claims (3)

A bag for carrying fruit and vegetables, intended to facilitate grouping, displaying and carrying a plurality of pieces, characterized in that it is made of a part (1) of tubular netting, preferably made of artificial material, and at least part (4), 5) a durable and flexible laminar strip, preferably also of synthetic material, attached to at least one side of the mesh portion (1) connected by two welding lines (6, 7) near the vertical edges of the laminar strip portions (4, 5) and two transverse welding lines (8, 9) defining the top and bottom of the bag, and a third welding line (10) at the top defining a transverse region (11) in which the handle (12) is also attached by welding that can be replaced round or oval holes (13) for inserting the fingers of one hand.
