Abstract

This invention relates to a cobalt powder with an FSSS average grain size of < 0.5 mu m which powder when 10 g thereof is added to 200 cm<3> of a solution of ethanol with 10 vol% water and lightly stirred becomes separated in less than 10 s. The Co-powder is particularly useful in the manufacture of submicron (less than 0.5 mu m) cemented carbide products, examples of which are PCB drill blanks and end mills.
