Abstract

The aim of the device for machining workpieces by means of programmable robots is to machine complicated workpiece contours under variable machining forces with little programming input and little storage requirement. The object to be achieved is to design a device which meets these requirements. The device consists of a basic body, a supporting body pivotably mounted on the basic body, a receptacle for fastening a tool or a workpiece, a vibration damper, a component producing variable reaction forces, a torque transducer, and adjustable stops. <IMAGE>
