Abstract
This disclosure relates to an electrode assembly for an energy storage device. The electrode assembly comprises a first inner active layer and a first outer active layer. The first inner active layer and the first outer active layer each comprise a first inner and a first outer active material component, wherein the crystallinity of the first inner active material component and the first outer active material component is different.
