Abstract

A battery module (1) is disclosed comprising a module casing (3), a plurality of battery cells (c1 - c11) arranged in the module casing (3), and at least one pad assembly (5) interposed between two adjacent battery cells (c1, c2). The pad assembly (5) comprises a first pad (p1) configured to shrink to obtain a reduced thickness (t1’) when the temperature (T) of the first pad (p1) is increased above a threshold temperature (Th). The threshold temperature (Th) is lower than an upper safety temperature limit (TL) of the plurality of battery cells (c1 - c11). The present disclosure further relates to a battery pack (10), a vehicle (20), a temperature control arrangement (21), a method (100) of controlling the temperature (T) of a plurality of battery cells (c1 - c11) of a battery module (1), a computer program, and a computerreadable medium (200).
