Abstract

The invention relates to an electric vehicle charger (1) comprising a base unit (2), a charging cable (3) attached to the base unit (2) at a proximal end and to a connector (4) at a distal end, the charging cable (3) being movable between a retracted position and an extended position, a column (5) extending vertically from the base unit (2), the column (5) being curved along at least a portion of its length and comprising an inner groove (7) adapted to receive the charging cable (3), a cable rewinding device (8) allowing the charging cable (3) to be pulled from the retracted position towards the extended position and is adapted to return the charging cable (3) to the retracted position. The invention also relates to a method for handling a charging cable (3) of an electric vehicle charger (1).
