15 20 25 456 564 2 Pâ grund av att övergången från B till C sker konti- nuerligt har det visat sig vara svårt att med erforderlig noggrannhet detektera slutet av området B. Ändamålet med föreliggande uppfinning är att genom I en speciell utformning av verktygets släppningsyta, där fasförslitningen uppstår, skapa en skarpare övergång från B till C.
Detta ändamål uppnås genom att verktygets V släpp- ningsyta förses med minst två stycken avsatser enligt figur 3.
Släppningsvinkeln för avsatserna görs 0° eller nära 0°. Höjden a för avsats 1 väljs så att den över- ensstämmer med fasförslitningen vid övergång från B till C enligt figur 2.
Höjden b för fas 2 väljs så att a + b motsvarar en fasförslitning inom omrâdet C (fig 2), vilken fort- farande ger ett acceptabelt bearbetningsresultat.
Vid bearbetning med ett verktyg enligt föreliggande uppfinning kommer fasförslitningen som funktion av in- greppstiden att få ett principiellt förlopp enligt figur 4.
Den stegvisa övergången från B till C som uppstår då avsats l slitits, så att fashöjden plötsligt övergår från a till a + b, kan utnyttjas för initiering av verk- tygsbyte. Detekteringen kan ske genom mätning av skär- kraftsförändringar, vibrationsförändringar, temperatur- förändringar eller dylikt. s 1.1

1. 456 564 PATENTKRAV Anordning vid skärverktyg för att avkänna fasför- slitningen, k ä n n e t e c k n a d av att verktygets släppningsyta är utformad med minst två avsatser med släppningsvinklar 0° eller nära 0°, varvid den förändring av skärkraft, vibration, temperatur eller dylikt, som uppstår då verktyget slitits ner så att anliggningsytan mellan arbetsstycket och verktyget språngvis ökar genom att nästa avsats kommer i kontakt med arbetsstycket, utnyttjas för att bestämma fasförslitningen.
